1. The commercial model

WhaBid is free to list, sell, bid and buy — there is no buyer subscription or seller commission. The paid Verified Buyer Pass (previously R99 / 30 days) is no longer sold; historical passes remain honoured until they expire. The only current paid product is optional Featured listing visibility (R49 for 7 days), which is a once-off payment and not an automatically renewing subscription. WhaMakulu is an optional commercial seller product.

  • Billing frequency: once-off payment (Featured) — no recurring billing.
  • Automatic renewal: No.
  • Recurring billing or automatic debit: None.
  • Cancellation fee: None.
  • Notice period required to prevent renewal: None — there is no automatic renewal to prevent.

2. What happens at expiry

Featured visibility runs for 7 days from activation and then expires automatically. No recurring charge is initiated by WhaBid when a Featured period expires. Historical Verified Buyer Pass periods expire at 30 days with no renewal — no further billing occurs on expiry.

If you want Featured visibility for another listing, you purchase a new Featured promotion for that listing. A new payment is required for each Featured period.

3. Stopping use during an active period

If you no longer want to use WhaBid during an active Featured or historical pass period, you may simply stop using the service. Stopping use does not automatically create a refund entitlement. Refund requests remain governed by the Refund Policy and applicable law.

4. There is no “cancel subscription” action

Because no paid WhaBid product automatically renews, there is no recurring subscription to cancel. WhaBid does not provide a “Cancel Subscription” feature because no recurring subscription exists.
